QUEEN of BAIL at the QUEEN MARY

This weekend had so many things going on it was impossible to do them all. Partys, art openings.. But I decided to accept an invitation to the ICE CUBE show at the Queen Mary. VIP, & all access is how I like it! 

The concert was packed & huge! The artists to perform were Ashanti, T Pain, & of course Ice Cube among others. 

Back stage is definately better than being shoved around by hundreds of people that are a foot taller than me! Backstage was full but very relaxed and chill. There were cabana areas for the artists & their guests. Lil Eazy E was there and was super friendly, met everybody & took pictures.  I really had so much fun. Thank you to my friend that took me, & the friends that made it possible.

This years show was amazingly fun! I hadn't been to the Easyrider show in a long time, in many years, and I really didn't know what to expect. Five minutes away from the convention center and it started to rain. Even with the rain it was pretty packed & there was a lot of beautiful bikes ! There was a lot of ridiculous bikes as well. Born free cycles always brings a good time & party. Honestly of all the booths there, I think the Born Free Cycles booth had the most fun, had the most energy, and had the most visitors. I signed so many of my posters! We gave away all of our flyers all of our stickers all of the posters everything was gone! Thank you to everybody that stopped by the booth and a big thank you to Alex & Karri Lopez from BORN FREE CYCLES  for having me be a guest at their booth!! 

EASYRIDER 2015 BIKE SHOW TOUR

The EASYRIDER SHOW  was always a blast. This show is bringing in the new year with a bang! The new location is Long Beach Convention Center. This Saturday January 10th, 2015. I have had the privilege of being invited by the BORN FREE CYCLES shop to attend and do a meet & greet at their booth! I'll be doing a poster signing and sticker giveaway! I'm super excited. QUEEN OF BAIL & BLVD COCKTAILS

Last night I went to Blvd Cocktails  in the city of Paramount. My friends are the owners and they've really opened with a great success! It has a great vibe, super cute bartender girls that are nice! No attitudes at this joint. 

They put in a new sound system that sounds super BOMB!

Last night was the owner's birthday party and they offered the best catered Philly cheesesteaks with french fries right in front of the bar,  it was so good!

Here's one thing that I really noticed last night, Blvd Cocktail's drink specials are so reasonable compared to Hollywood or San Fernando Valley prices!

They have over 22 beers as well! If you're in that area and haven't heard of them you can follow them on Instagram @blvdcocktails

RAQUEL QUEEN OF BAIL

Bail bonds is a unique industry to be in. Throughout the years I've had many many complaints. I realize everybody has their complaints for their careers or their jobs ...I guess it's normal. Every once in a while you get that one person that makes you say wow. 

When I go through my files or I happen to scroll through my contact list in my phone, I realize the hundreds and hundreds of people that I've dealt with. Something may spark a memory about them or not, sometimes I delete their numbers sometimes I keep them. 

This morning I got a phone call from a name that I had kept in my contacts, but it only seemed vaguely familiar. 

After we spoke for a few minutes I remembered who he was ...a cat from Long Beach. He had just done about two years in prison & as soon as he got out he called me to make sure he didn't owe me any money. As honorable as he is of course so we're his friends, makes sense doesn't it. His friends honored our deal and paid me even though he went to prison & they covered the tab for him.  So for every complaint there is somebody that brings some hope to the industry some hope to human nature and I thought it was important for me to mention this person without disclosing his identity. I am grateful and thankful.

The weekend is over... It was super fun & also a lot of effort. Lots of driving, lines, cost, and walking!!! It's been 9 years of relentless pounding the pavement for RQOB. This is what it takes to build a small business. 

Sunday was the last day of Ink n Iron Kustom Culture Festival on the Queeen Mary. 

My friends & I must have handed out 300 stickers. Of course there was some rejection, and as always some people take my business promotion personally & get all insulted. They assume I'm judging them as a law breaker. For the most part 99% of people are happy to get my sticker & are friendly to me. 

I had a chance to meet Buck from Buck Wild Designs, well known for his work on Pimp My Ride.  Entrepreneur's tend to think the same way & we had a solid discussion about our experiences in business. I always appreciate a business owners wisdom. It's not everyday I get to meet people like that. I had a great day with great friends. I did some good promotions & I can say mission accomplished!!! QUEEN OF BAIL & QUEEN MARY

I love the Queen Mary. You cannot deny the odd feeling you get when you're on this ship. There is so much history there! Last night was the kick off party for the INK N IRON KUSTOM CULTURE FESTIVAL.  It was a private party in the Salon Ballroom on the ship. Tattoo artists from all over the world came. Artists from Amsterdam to artists from the east coast were there. Art was on display and three bands played. It was super fun!! I'll be back on Sunday to promote my business at a few booths. It feels like Friday, but it's only Thursday! Today kicks off a three day event called Ink & Iron Kustom Cutlure Festival. My dear friend Juan Puente is the master mind behind this annual event. It's always at the gorgeous Queen Mary in Long Beach. It has every tattoo artist who's anybody, caberet, vaudeville, art & car show, vintage vendors, and live concert all three days!! Tonight is a private pre party at a secret location. I will be there & I'll post lots of pictures!
