I'm sure you've heard of an "in store" event... Some of my artist friends & clients do in store events. The artist is there in the store & they promote their album or event, sign autographs & take pictures with fans. Well yesterday I did one with the U of MMA!! It was very exciting! I was the only sponsor of the event invited to participate, & I felt very welcomed. 

Three fighters were were there. Light weight challenger Pious " Voodoo" Enilobobo & top welter weight challenger shohei " Kej Tora" Yamamoto & rising welterweight Ronald Minera were all there at the event. Also the lovely ring girls of U of MMA were there. 

It was great for me to have a moment to introduce myself to the fighters as a proud sponsor because at the fights, they're way to focused to be chit chatting with me. 

The ring girls are always so sweet to me, they're super cool girls in fantastic shape with no attitude & that makes them even more lovely. 

The event was at Best Buys in Atwater/Glendale area on Los Feliz Blvd. Best Buys had the U of MMA Fights on the new curved screen tv which was pretty cool. 

I must thank the U of MMA for inviting me to participate & also thank Best Buys for hosting the event. 

My girlfriends came to support me, which was unbelievable to me. I am so grateful .. Hard work pays off. That's really all I can say!! Thank you!!!

Today's blog is redundant, repetitive, and boring. And it's SO needed.  Today I woke up and casually looked at my Facebook. I had a message saying "I need bail" .... It's not a joke or a hoax. It was a real request for services. It amazes me year after year how technology has eliminated the art of making a phone call. A phone call goes a long way.  A phone call goes a long way in business & in personal matters as well!!!

Sometimes I think to myself, damn people must be so sick of my relentless ads & posts on my business. Then I get a Facebook message & it PROVES that it's never enough. It's never ever enough. If I tattooed my phone number on someone's forehead, I swear the moment they needed bail they would forget to look in the mirror.

June is going to ba another jam packed month for RQOB. June 1, 2014 is Fight Night at Nokia's La Live with the University of Mixed Martial Arts. 

Next up the very following weekend is Ink & Iron Tattoo Convention. This is a three day mini vacation for most! It's at the beautiful Queen Mary in Long Beach. It's an annual event that's huge. I will be there to meet people, see so many of my old friends & clients too! I'll have posters, stickers for everybody. Hope to see you there! QUEEN OF BAIL

This weekend RQOB was out & about in the SFV.  I have many clients that have been loyal throughout the years.  I am so grateful to these clients. 

The repeat client is always the best right? Well don't get the wrong idea! Repeat clients are not career criminals. Repeat clients are people that have a large circle of friends and a trustworthy comradery. Word of mouth goes very far. 

This weekend my dear friends 311 Bikers had a party. There was a Dj, cold beers, catered with fresh quesadillas and tacos. Asada or pollo, fresh salsa, & cilantro. Awards were given out for best motorcycle. It was super fun, delicious food, & good friends. That's what the weekends are all about. My heart is warmed when my clients think of me more as a friend and want me around. I try to never miss a 311 bash.  We had a great day, and only one arrest. Good thing their bail bonds girl was there!

Jury duty.... Nobody likes jury duty. The key word is "duty" it is part of our community duty & part of our constitutional rights! My recommendation is to do it! Here are some good reasons to give it a whirl. 

Become familiar with court procedure.

Get rid of fear & intimidation of court.

Learn about law & what is against the law & what is legal.

Learn & see first hand how attorneys & public defenders conduct business.

See what the consequences really are !

You never know how interesting a case can be. 

I know some people find it inconvenient but wouldn't you have loved being on the jury for Michael Jackson or Dr. Kavorkian?

Saturday night I had to go to Parker Center Jail twice. Once at 11:30 pm and then again Sunday before the sunrise. 

The cops keep the lobby practically pitch black & have bullet proof glass in front of their desks and phone reception area. 

Another thing is these cops like to chop it up with me.  It's totally normal behavior, strange, but normal for cops.

Here's somthing I did not want to blog about on Mothers Day... At 3:00 am Sunday morning I was driving on the 101 south Frwy, maybe two cars on the road. It was a quiet night. I was feeling happy  grateful and about working & about my car as I drove south towards Hollywood. 

As I approached Cahuenga exit I started to see about 500 ft of flares on the fwy.

Then I saw ambulance, & CHP & police. 

As I slowed down I could see there was a car flipped over on it's roof and tires were up towards the sky. I also noticed there was no second car. There was no apparent collission or any second car. Like I said there were three cars on the entire fwy. It was a quiet night. 

I drove a few feet further and very clearly saw the body with a white sheet over the body completely. A fatality. I felt an overwhelming feeling come over me, it was fear and gratitude at the same time. Seeing that can only frighten you. It makes you think of so many things in an instant moment. Was it a male or female, how did it happen, where's the second car, where were they going at this hour, and the family.... Very sad. Then the gratitude kicks in that it's not you. I am so tempted to text or look at my phone or navigation. At night at 3am alone in my car I must be so careful. That night when I got home I was so happy to be home and I prayed. 

Be safe at all times. Please do not text & drive, or especially drink & drive. 

Call me for drivers, I also have body guards. Trust me it's worth the money. Be safe & let's be grateful today it wasn't us.

Happy Mothers Day to all !!! 

Today is a special day. Most of my clients are male & that means I deal with a lot of moms! 

They care, they bail out their kids at all ages. Moms never stop being moms! 

RQOB is here for the moms! If you have questions on drug counseling, anger management, drug rehabs, sober living, ankle monitoring or anything at all regarding helping your kids, call me if I don't already have the answer,  I will get it for you. 

My mom happens to be one of my best friends. I admire her & I think I got a lot of my work ethics and ambition from her. She sets a great example. I am on my way to see her now! Enjoy this day everyone! Be safe & don't get caught slippin!

Today is May 1st!!! It's a great month because it starts off with a celebration! Food, drinks, culture & family are a big part of Cinco De Mayo. I hope to be busy this weekend with bail. There's also lots going on in Los Angeles. Be safe & Dont get caught slippin!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying this day! I went to noon mass. The mass had a 12 piece orchestra today. I couldn't help but be so grateful. With the social media of today, everybody's life seems bigger on line. Then again you get the types that whine & moan everyday. I keep it professional or sarcastic for the most part. 

Today I want to say happy Easter to all. Know that I share the same griefs as you do. Let's stay strong, stay positive & enjoy this day. 

I am very satisfied that RQOB made it possible for many people to spend Easter with their family's today. 

I may sound sensitive , but I still keep my advertising edgy. Don't get caught slippin!

This day has Christian beliefs & also the fun side for the kids. It's all good times with family.

The jails are busy. The sheriffs are rude. Don't get caught slippin this holiday.

Being in Los Angeles has an effect on people. We all run in the same circles. RQOB has always catered to the underground. The counter culture is the majority of my clientele. This was a major reason I got into bail bonds in the first place. It's awkward to say it's "fun"... Nobody in jail is having fun!!!!

But let's remember I LOVE my job! 

To me it is fun ! I love getting people out of jail! I love the stories & situations too! I love hearing them, talking about them, & being involved to the end. 

I must say thank you to my friend Tim Hendricks for only using RQOB for bail & giving me a shout out.

I first met him with Juan Puente, they had an extra ticket to SLAYER & I was there! I drove down to San Diego at the drop of a call. Honorable clients never have to get out of bed in the middle of the night with me in order to get someone out of jail. I make it easy!

Tim Hendricks got me over 75 new friends on Instagram almost instantly, & over 250 views on my blog with one shout out. I love having superstars as my clients!!! Thank you to Tim, & everybody who took the time to peep my blog!

My Dad always saves articles or literature or books on topics he thinks are poignant  for me. This Sunday morning as I drink my coffee, I'm reading an article he saved for me on the corruption of the former Council members of the city of Bell. They are facing 10-12 years in prison. 

This was interesting, but what was even better was on the flip side of the L.A.Times article.....

"Arts thriving in a modest venue" is an article about a young man who saw a complete void of the arts in his community of Maywood, Cudahy, & Hunington Park. So what did he do? He opened an art space in his garage! I love this! 

Nobody really cares if some rich guy is building another sky scraper. I personally love an under dog story. I love it because it gives me hope. A young man of 25,

Mr. Contreras created an open mic night, art gallery, music & photography all available to his community. The well known poet & author Luis Rodriguez even took notice and read "Poems across the Pavement" at the garage space.

These people are inspiring and I admire them. It's also a bonus that they're Latino! I hope this story inspires others as it inspires me.

Once again there has been a school tragedy. Once again the news reporters are saying that parents and school officials saw no signs of instability. 

There are always signs, but you have to know what to recognize. 

In bail bonds these signs are very significant to a maintaining a good career.if there's one thing I can say it's that you should never ever doubt your gut instinct. It's never wrong. 

There are books on this topic that are very interesting.

It's heartbreaking to think of innocent children bring hurt. 

What do you think would help with children's safety ?

Yesterday was very exciting for RQOB. It was my first fight night of the University of Mixed Martial Arts, better known as U of MMA. The theatre was packed! Apparently there was also a filming of the event happening & it made for an exciting atmosphere! The fights were great, the beers were cold! I was there meeting people and had giveaways for everybody. Stickers & tshirts are always a hit. I am very proud to be a sponsor of this event!
