We must try and send a different message.  Going to this protest is important. DONT GET CAUGHT SLIPPIN

When I first started my business, there was really only MySpace. My main source of advertising was physically going to shows, & events by myself and handing out my flyers to people. 

With all the internet advertising & having a commercial airing in ABC 7, still physically going to events is the best way to get my name out there.

Yesterday I went to south Los Angeles to a daytime event at a shop called LAND MARK. It's in the heart of South Central LA. The owner of the shop had live graff going on, Og Huskey Radio were on the 1's& 2's.. Black book signings & $1.00 beers & taquitos. 

I had a great time. These event's to me are so very inspiring. Here's a young man making things happen. This guy isn't saying to himself that he can't do this or that without a huge business loan from a bank. He's just doing the damn thing. It was beautiful weather, yummy food, cold beers, great art, great music, & an all around great vibe. I'll be sure to go again!

QUEEN OF BAIL

I feel bad when I cannot get someone out of jail, I really do. The number one reason I cannot get someone out of jail is because of no money. The client simply cannot afford the cost of bail. There are other reasons though, such as a parole hold. Another reason is an immigration hold. Other reasons are if a person does not have a permenant address. Anyway, there are so many reasons that could pop up. I can only say I hope conditions get slightly better in jails across the greater Los Angeles area with sheriff Baca now resigned. I will always try my best to get anybody out of jail that qualifies.

I notice the climate of Los Angeles. Not the weather climate, the crime climate. Right now I can tell you for a fact people are on the low low. Nobody has a case of what I like to call...  "THE FUCK IT'S". When I see people on Facebook and Instagram at 7 am, & I know you don't do speed..,your ass stayed in last night. C'mon we all know cocaine of today is crap and you can sleep like a baby on that poison. 

The economy has a serious way of keeping people home, & out of trouble. Living high on the hog promotes a more carefree lifestyle.

One thing I've always had to deal with is parents wanting to teach their kids a lesson. Parents ask me how long they can keep their child in custody before they go to county. I've had parents wait till the next morning to bail out their kids.  Parents will sometimes ask me to present the worst case scenario of jail, bail, courts, & all that goes with it to frighten the kid. I can do that, it's all true. I also get asked to point out that the "indemnitor" (meaning the responsible party) has the authority to revoke the bond at any time. That of course results in being put back into custody & needing to post bond all over again with a full premium charge. 

Typically I don't paint the worst picture to my clients. I do the polar opposite & I am here to help my clients ease thru a difficult time. 

When parents ask me to do this, it's like that old documentary "Tough Love".. I laugh all the way home. I hope it works & that kids never get into serious trouble, hurt themselves or anybody else. Don't get caught slippin!

VAN NUYS JAIL

Doing a bond at Van Nuys Jail is always a smooth process. Even if they're busy they have their jobs down pat. Van Nuys jail is not small, & it's seen almost every notorious criminal throughout history, including many celebrity's.

In the very large area of the San Fernando Valley there used to be many local city jails that housed inmates. Now the small city jails still exist, but they no longer house the inmates. They all go to Van Nuys now. Maybe that's bad for people but great for me to get you out fast. I'm 15 minutes away from that jail, they know me there & treat me with cooperation & respect. I have never had a hard time with the Van Nuys Police Station.  I hope you never end up there, but if you do, stay ready and call your Bond girl!  

BOND GIRL at LAX SUPERIOR COURT

Yesterday I had a client go to LAX court in custody from Beverly Hills Jail. People in custody are always heard last. In court, as apposed to jail, a bail bondsman has until 3:30 pm to post a bond for their client. I really needed to make this 3:30 deadline because if not, my client would make the Sherrifs bus to Los Angeles County Jail. Once my client hits that bus... Oh then we have to wait till he is booked into LACJ. This takes 10-13 hours. I'd have to be calling all night till I got clearance. 

My clients case was heard at 2:45 pm. We were nervous about the Public Defender. She was awful, she was like an angry Mom. 

Things went surprisingly well. I told the PD, that my client had strong ties to the community, that my client had over 15 years in the same industry & 10 years of his own business in the same location. This insures the judge that my client is not a flight risk, & suggests that they are not a threat to the community. That's what makes a defendant a desirable candidate for bail or not. The court is looking for two things: one is a flight risk, & the other factor is if the person is a danger to society. I got his bond in without a hitch. My client was happy & home by dinner. He had lost 5 days of his usual routine. Now he can get back to work. He's happy, & that makes me happy. Bail bonds is our constitutional right! Stay ready & don't get caught slippin!
