The year has started with a bang! At the end of 2015 I had four projects already in the works for 2016. Everything has been going smoothly with those projects so far. People ask me all the time, what advice would I give to somebody starting a business? I would say the most important thing is to answer your phone and return phone calls! The second next most important thing or at least one of the most important things is to never be discouraged! You win some and you lose some and that is a fact!

The weekend is here. There's always one thing people regret not doing... It's called a walk around the car. Walk around your car with the motor running, make sure all the lights work, make sure your turn indicators work, make sure that the light over the license plate is working...be sure you're running lights and brake lights work. Something as simple as a license plate light can get you caught slippin.

Having your own business means you never stop thinking about it ever. I have a full calendar every month. But sometimes I must pick and choose the events that I go to. This weekend and last weekend I decided I needed to slow down a little bit. I just can't make everybody's party or show. I feel bad but I really needed the rest. This weekend I stayed home and during the day I just spent time with family, it was just what I needed and it felt great. I met with some clients and did a couple of bonds and got a lot of rest. If I missed your party or your show or your event I will make the next one! 

Remember to get your rest! Take care of yourself, and don't get caught slippin!

I notice the climate of Los Angeles. Not the weather climate, the crime climate. Right now I can tell you for a fact people are on the low low. Nobody has a case of what I like to call...  "THE FUCK IT'S". When I see people on Facebook and Instagram at 7 am, & I know you don't do speed..,your ass stayed in last night. C'mon we all know cocaine of today is crap and you can sleep like a baby on that poison. 

The economy has a serious way of keeping people home, & out of trouble. Living high on the hog promotes a more carefree lifestyle.

My office is on Hollywood Blvd. Sometimes I snap a picture and really take a moment to appreciate our city. The community works hard to keep it clean & safe. It's a crazy town for sure. Hollywood has so many gorgeous spots & all the old ones still blend in between fabulous new night clubs and chic new Restaurant's. The crime rate is healthy & police abundant, but check out these blue sky's & palm trees!

This is vital information for people that don't have experience with bail. Bail is basically a small insurance policy. You pay a percentage premium, but your "insured" or bailed out for the full amount of the bail. The bail bondsman insures the court that even if they release you, you will be in court on a given date.

All bail agents are licensed  by the California Dept of Insurance. It's actually a government job. We do not get to just charge what we want. Not higher costs nor should it be lower costs. In California we are supposed to charge 10% or 8% if you are a union member or were referred by an attorney. So if you get these bail agency's that claim to be able to provide bail at an unexplainably low cost, be careful. I've had my clients go to other bail agency's making incredible claims, then once they're in the office, that's when the real deal starts. How cruel, and unprofessional to get someone who's already experiencing a critical time's hopes up. These agency's are operating illegal businesses. Some of them take your cash and you never hear from them again and your loved one is still IN CUSTODY!!! 

Read your contracts before you sign them, and get receipts for all money's spent.  Better yet,call me. Ill take care of you.

Business, advertising, networking etc, it's a never ending job. That old saying about "assume" is SO TRUE. I tried to explain to somebody one time ... When under stress people are not as sharp as you think they might be.
Oh they'll google you.., oh they have your number..,, NOT SO!
I could write my number on some people's face and they'd lose it.
People will actually Facebook me or text me in the middle of the night.
This is a business, and real business doesn't go down thru text.

You know when people make a bold statement.. "Oh he's a great guy/ great girl. " ... Nobody stops to think how well they know that person. Most people are only acquainted at best. Even if it's been 5 years or so, have you ever discussed morals, religion, politics? Ever met each others family? How bout having a conversation with ones ex... That might shed a whole new light on things. Think before you make a bold statement. Facebook and a few night clubs does not back up a statement like that. You might catch yourself slippin.

Yesterday I went to my office and just had this great pile of client folders. Dealing with the courts is less fun than bailing out my clients. Seems like these government employees can't stand their job. Can you blame them?
