QUEEN OF BAIL at the EASYRIDER ARCHIVES ART SHOW.

This last Friday night I was invited to the Easyriders Archive Art Show. I had been up since 5 AM but I really needed to get out and just have some fun and not be promoting. I got rockstar parking to begin with so that was a good sign.
The space was beautiful with an enclosed outdoor area, a downstairs shop, and the upstairs gallery. When you walked into the gallery, there was beautiful art displayed from the Easyriders Magazine archives. The show featured art from the 70's, both sketches and paintings.
The show had everything you needed for a successful night. A gorgeous view of downtown from the windows of the gallery, a full bar, and there was some cool cat playing bottleneck guitar throughout the entire evening. But the best part of the show without a doubt was the live art installation of a David Mann painting. It was truly incredible to see the clouds, & all the details down to the yellow stripes on the road the bike was on. The models were perfect, it was really a sight to see. My only complaint is I don't know who did the art installation or who built the bike. If there were signs, I missed them.
After a few cocktails and mingling with both old friends and some new, we went downstairs to check it out. Downstairs they had a female DJ that played the best music all night long. My girlfriend Freedom and I were the only two girls dancing. We didn't care, it was infectious and people joined in. We danced until 1:30 in the morning!
What was completely missing from this show was the presence of cops, on the street, or in the neighborhood. Big pushy bouncers, and snobby attitudes were entirely missing as well.
My compliments go out to Cary & Karen Brobeck, the curators of the show. Douche LaRouche MC, & Sacred Steel Metal Works, & Easyriders Magazine for a super great night!

ELECTIONS & THE QUEEN OF BAIL

This time of the year brings heated conversations, opinions and division. I've seen a lot of posts on social media that are very encouraging. People that care, and are advocates of equality and fairness.
I also see posts from people that I have known through social media for many years, that I now recognize as homophobic's, and racists. Even worse Republicans!

Overall, if there's going to be any blanket statement made I will say this, Fox 11 news is not the place to get your information.
I have not blogged in many weeks because I've had three projects on my plate and that's a lot.
However I made sure that I voted, and I listen to KCRW any chance that I get to find out what's really going on.
I choose not to get into a heated debates on social media, but I have voiced my opinion. I encourage everybody to vote. I encourage everybody to be well-informed. But most importantly please let's stop thinking in terms of color! We are humans. Let's stop dividing each other by color. We are almost as segregated as we were in the 50's. It's like a co-ed prison yard of segregation and hate yet we are all coming and going. We need change, not walls. All lives matter.

QUEEN OF BAIL & MTV's REAL WORLD

I always say...support small business,
and I always do. Here's a perfect example of how putting out good always brings back good...
Last week I scoped out this super sweet new barbershop in the San Fernando Valley in Sherman Oaks on Burbank Blvd. I stopped and introduced myself to the owner and we did some networking & exchanged cards, and we decided let's promote each other's businesses best we can. E the barber is the owner at Valley Cutz Barber Shop, we hit it off really well and he was so nice and supportive, it was smooth.
Sure enough the following week I get a phone call from the director of MTV's real world web series show. He invited me to be interviewed on episode number two. This is a new web series for the real world show. He saw my fliyers and stickers on deck at Valley Cutz  barbershop!
I was thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to participate in a new web series!
Saturday afternoon we met at the sound studio stage in Hollywood. It was a beautiful green screen studio with monitors everywhere so we could see what we look like as we were filming. I met the host of the show Syrus, who has a long history with the MTV series Real World.
The show was super cool with discussions of current topics and a variety of opinions are to be heard. They had a musical guest and myself!
I want to say thank you so very much to Valley Cutz barbershop for their support!
I also want to say thank you to the director of the show who invited me to be interviewed, Oji Nuri. Oji is a fantastic director, super professional & on point! I just love that type of person! Also, thank you to the panel hosts and other guests of the show. Everybody was really nice, we had a couple of beers, there was plenty of food at the craft table, it was a super incredibly fun day!!!!
