I can never print enough of these T-shirts! If I only had more space I could make one large order and keep them on deck. I suppose it's OK ...one thing I never want to do is sit on a bunch of unsold inventory. So I do my small orders but I do them consistently all the time.

QUEEN of BAIL & ST PATRICK'S DAY

Ever since I can remember Saint Patrick's day has always been a very special day for my family. Every year my dad would speak in an Irish accent for the entire day of St. Patrick's Day and my sister and I would die laughing. One time a friend of mine didn't believe me when I told him that story of my dad, and so we called him, and sure enough he answered the phone "Top of the morning to you!" in an Irish accent! 

Traditionally we have corned beef and cabbage and a nice green stout beer! We decorate our homes in green and we wear all the silly St. Patrick's Day things and we'll  go to an Irish pub! 

It's a fun drinking holiday for most and the city definitely celebrates with a lot of alcohol! Please be safe have a designated driver and remember DUIs are a misdemeanor that do not require bail typically.

The "Bungle in the Jungle" documentary on El Chapo & Sean Penn was a great experience to film, and also a great experience to watch the episode! It was also wonderful to meet the editors, the audio techs, and all of the behind the scenes players. 

The episode aired on REELZ Channel March 10, 2016 nationwide. I think it will be airing again this weekend!

I want to say thank you to everybody that took the time to watch, and to even set their DVR's! I received an overwhelmingly positive response for days! The night of the episode my phone was blowing up. The next day I had so many people call me, text me, email me, direct message me, it was insane! I did my usual amount of promoting, and from the response I got, I realize how special it is that people really took the time to not only read my post, but to actually stop and watch and set their DVR's!

QUEEN of BAIL BONDS on LOS ANGELESNISTA TALK RADIO

I was asked by host & founder Ed Solis to do an interview on Los Angelesnista talk radio! I'm always very thrilled and grateful when I'm asked to do any kind of interview! This radio talkshow has had some very great guests such as pro skateboarder's and legendary punk rock bands. I arrived at the studio in Uptown Whittier, and it was amazing and gorgeous! In the front waiting area there was a beautiful koi pond, and some paintings. Then we went back into the studio. I got a tour of the engineering room and I was very impressed it was state of the art! This interview I think was the best interview I've ever done and I'm so excited about it! I think what makes a great interview is the questions asked by the host. Of course I always get asked many of the same questions but after those questions have been satisfied, it's fun to be able to talk about different things! I fully believe in the law of attraction. Last night was a perfect example. If you Google hollywood bail bonds, Raquel Queen of Bail Bonds is the first business that comes up. This is not because I paid some search engine company.  I do not pay for Internet advertising or any of that pay every time somebody clicks or calls on my Internet listing. 

I got a call from a client, we negotiated everything, I checked my bullshit meter, and it was very low, so I went ahead and met the client at Hollywood Jail. My client rolled up in a beautiful car, and they get out of the car and they happen to be gorgeous themselves. We immediately clicked & started talking about all kinds of things as we got the paperwork done. Turns out of course these new clients are artists. Of course they are! That's the only kind of clients I seem to attract! As we were leaving the jail I handed them one of my giftpacks filled with glitter and candy & my card ...they said to me, "you really make a bad situation not so bad and actually nice"... They said this to me as we stood there and looked at the most frightening bail bond office with the neon lights right in front of us. We laughed and said yeah you don't want to have to deal with that! 

Last night was affirmation of everything that I have strived for my entire career! I went home so happy! And I'm pretty sure my clients did too! Bail bonds on a completely different level for completely different people!

The other day I stated that I would be able to relax and not do anything other than get people out of jail for the last couple of weeks of this year. But I forgot that I still had my Christmas ad to come out! This is my Christmas ad done by my girl Kym from CBS CREW!

QUEEN OF BAIL & WESPARK

We have all been touched by the ugly disease of cancer. Either a family member or friend have had this experience. 

Tonight I was invited to a fundraiser for the organization called WESPARK. It's for people with cancer, or in remission or survival and family members as well. 

Tonight's goal was $50,000 and they reached it! 

The event was at the Canyon Club in Agoura California. Michael McDonald from the Doobie Brothers performed, his wife is a survivor of 18 years now! Nancy Allen the actress from the movie "Carrie" & "Robo Cop" was the MC. Tickets to that event included food and drinks. It was incredible to see such great musicians play their instruments. Saxophone, guitar, drums, piano, was all delicious to hear!

I had a great time and love really seems to be in the air. Perfect for this time of the year, it's a fantastic way to start 2016

Halloween this year falls on a Saturday! Please be safe, the cops will be everywhere trying to ruin your night. Uber, Lyft or a cab or a designated driver is most definitely needed! I party on all holidays but I stay sober as a judge in case anybody needs me. I answer my phone 24 hours a day, never hesitate to call! If you don't know my number you can Google me. After 10 years in business, my sweet little mom broke out these pictures to remind me of my entrepreneurial beginnings. In 1996, I started a T-shirt line called "bombshell". I had a very simple baby doll T-shirt with embroidery over the heart, they didn't do very well. Then again in 2004 I came up with another apparel idea and called it, "Dirty Sweet". My ideas were abundant. I remember going full force with website ideas, store location, design and merchandise ideas galore. I remember this was my very first booth. I was extremely nervous. I only sold one T-shirt that day, and it felt heartbreaking. Two years later I got my bail agent license and here I am today. I believe that everything happens for a reason. It was a fantastic learning experience in so many ways. I learned so much from researching vendors, negotiating with them, the cost of wholesale compared to retail, and I also learned that sitting on inventory is the last thing I ever wanted to do! My mom showing me these pictures and telling me how proud of me she is felt incredible beyond words. Desire, tenacity, having a vision and staying focused is all it takes. Not being afraid of failure and not being afraid of all of your projects not going through is critical. Ideas & projects materializing may not happen. Never let that stop you. Stay strong! Never give up and keep moving forward!

Raquel Queen of Bail is a proud sponsor of the fifth annual canned food drive called Hip Hop for Humanity. This nonprofit organization strikes a chord with me not only because we're helping the less fortunate of Los Angeles, but because it was founded by musicians, and as some of you may know my father is a musician. Recording artists, MC's, DJ's, apparel lines, artists and myself, all come together to fight hunger. It is being held November 7, 2015 at Imperial Studios in Los Angeles. For every five cans of food that you bring you get a goodie bag filled with music, stickers, apparel and other surprises. If you bring a turkey you get a VIP bag! (that doesnt mean your boyfriend) ..The day is filled with music by DJ's and live art installations, it's a day good fun. QUEEN OF BAIL at THE 5th ANNUAL DEAF FESTIVAL

This last Saturday was the Fidth Annual DeafFestival at Los Angeles City Hall in our very own downtown. Red Rose Mafia cordially invited me to participate with them this year. The entire festival was for the deaf community. The street in front of City Hall was blocked off and there were many vendor booths with clothing and services, goodies & crafts, everything for and by the deaf community. 

There was even a performance by musicians that were deaf as well. 

Next was the red carpet event and fashion show. The fashion show was featuring designers and models on the runway! The MC of the event was the supermodel himself Nyle Dimarco from America's Next Top Model. 

The event was humbling and beautiful. 

The make up artist's, the hairdressers, the photographers.,everybody was speaking in sign. It was a sight to see. I was able to communicate with people through interpretation and also by just putting my best foot forward. Inside City Hall there was a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres and beautiful desserts. If you haven't been to City Hall you really should go. Its a gorgeous historical building with amazing architectural detail. It was a beautiful day and I hope to do it again next year!

COLLECTIVE LIFESTYLE LA in NORTHRIDGE

This last weekend was an art show at a shop in the San Fernando Valley called Collective Lifestyle. "The Bigger Picture " was the name of the exhibit. Featuring Los  Negative's photography and other local artists. 

This was a great collaboration of young artistic creative and ambitious people! I definitely wanted to show my support! DJ Handprints was spinning, and you know he always kills it. Below Poverty Level was in the house, along with Saints, & Vin Baker & more!

I've had a beautiful logo for a long time but everything can stand a wee bit of improvement now and then! 

If you're familiar with me and my business and any of my social media, I'm sure you know I've had an immensely difficult time finding a printer that is responsible and professional. So with that being said, I believe that change is good. I found a new printer that I've known for years that I can trust. We discussed my T-shirts and took a look at things from a different angle. We decided to refresh & revise my logo! Im super happy with the fresh clean look. If you look very closely there's only one difference and that's what sits on top of the letter Q. 

Next, everything will be revised ...new flyers,  the logo on my custom cookies, new stickers and fresh orders of T-shirts! Change is good! 

BOND GIRL RAQUEL

I get bond calls from people that want to offer 1% on a bond. What people need to remember,  is like any other business there is a cost involved. Wholesale, for lack of better terms for people to understand.. Basically I have to pay for the bond, and then I resell it to you. Just like any other manufacturer makes their product for certain cost, and then sells it at retail. So it is ridiculous to offer 1% on any bond. Not only will but not cover the cost of the bond, but I also have bills to pay like everyone else. Being a Bail agent is a government job. The state of California mandates what we are to charge people. Another thing to remember is large bonds like 100,000 and over, all require collateral. 

It's amazing to me that people think they will never need a Bail bondsman, you most definitely will. It may not be for you but it will be for somebody you know, and it's beneficial to have a basic understanding. Feel free to call me with any of your questions.

It's been a long time since I've blogged!

I took a few days off after my ten year anniversary party and then got right back into the swing of things. I've been extremely busy with bail bonds & planning new projects. 

Supporting those that support me is very important and I make sure to be there for my friends! 

Good times are always fun. but it's also reciprocation for people that have supported me year in and year out! 

We must always support small business and stick together! 

RAQUEL QUEEN of BAIL CELEBRATING 10 YEARS in BUSINESS!!!

Hi everybody I haven't blogged in almost a month! It's because I have been extremely busy planning everything going into this months 10 years in business celebration! 

10 Years in business only comes once in a lifetime so I wanted to make it special. It came in three parts. The first part was a brand-new flyer that was created and illustrated by Kym from CBS CREW! 

Part 2 was a completely new photo shoot and flyer completely done by Cupcake Cartel. Photo shoot by Cupcake Cartel styled by Cupcake Cartel and graphics by Cupcake Cartel !!! 

Part 3 was the party!!! The plans for the party changed a few times and eventually I made a decision on a private invitation only party for small group of people. Obviously I cannot invite everybody I know or all of my clients. I reserved a private room  called the Townhouse Room at the Sassafras Bar in Hollywood. I had 65 guests attend the party.  Whiskey cocktail & Champagne cocktail punch bowls were served. The RQOB cake designed and presented by Belle Estanni Cakes & custom cookies! Cupcake Cartel also served cheescake custom RQOB Cupcakes! Sticker packs were given to everbody as a party favors with Below Poverty Level collection stickers! It was crazy! Crazy fun, with all different types of guests! I think that's what I loved about it most was the eclectic group of people...from artists and filmmakers, actresses and models, thugs and gangsters, TV producers, attorneys, nurses, aesthetician, chef, hairdressers, jewelry designers, apparel brand owners, dj's, radio hosts...all kinds from all different walks of life all different ages. I want to thank everybody that attended very sincerely from the bottom of my heart.  It means a lot to me that you came to my party and shared my joy. I hope everybody had fun. I know that everybody got home safe and there were no incidents!  Plus we're still welcome to go back to Sassafras Bar! See you at my 20 years in business celebration!

QUEEN of BAIL at the BLACK BOOK CHARACTER BATTLE

As you know my girl Kym from CBS Crew & I hang tough. She was invited to participate in an art show that was a live art installation and also a workshop for kids to learn how to draw and paint from some of the best artists in Los Angeles. I really didn't know what to expect but I always support those that support me and there's no way I would've missed my girls show. 

The show had live art installations which is really exciting to watch. The DJs that were playing were killing it all day!!  I really enjoyed DJ Disarm! There was food, there was drinks, there was candy. Everyone had a great time! We were there from beginning to the end, just partying all together. There was a lot of stickers going on, a lot of black book projects and a lot of networking. I must say thank you to all of the artists and Cale Fine Arts for putting on this event. CBS Crew was definitely in the house, OG Huskey Radio was in the house too! Below Poverty Level was in the house as well!  It was super fun. Also thank you to Pellegrino Printers in Glendale for hosting!

Good friends are important! My career,  my family and my friends ...I am very blessed and always grateful. One thing I've noticed is that when you get one really good solid friend, you'll find their friends are also very solid! That old saying birds of a feather flock together is 100% true. Here's me and two of my girlfriends having a beautiful Sunday brunch at the Mondrian luxury hotel on the famous Sunset strip. The Hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar with an amazing view & the weather was just perfect!
