I remember when I first got into this business my parents thought it was completely bonkers that I had to work on these days, but I genuinely do not mind it's my job and I love it.

The holiday season has started with a bang! I am completely booked every weekend this month with multiple events charities, parties, and work related commitments. The only days I am free are the weekends of Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and those are typically filled with high-volume bond calls.

Please be safe, drinking and driving is the number one bust throughout the holidays and it's so unnecessary. Yellow cab, taxis, Uber, designated drivers.. There is no reason to drink and drive.

It's been a great and busy week, all of my eggs are decorated, spring flowers are displayed throughout the house! BORN FREE CYCLES TOY RUN

Born Free Cycles is having their second annual toy run this December 12, 2014! I am so happy to come on board in the second year! They support the Burbank Temporary Aid Center. The BTAC  has been helping people since 1974. They've been providing support for individuals, families, the working poor, crime victims, senior citizens, & homeless with short term emergency assistance they need to live with dignity. 

I'm so proud to be the sponsor of this Toy Run! We are anticipating to get a lot of toys for these kids, so that they can all open a gift on Christmas day! 

If you're in a car club or you ride a motorcycle or you just want to come hang out with some creative caring people this December 12 ...please just bring one toy. It doesn't have to be big doesn't have to be expensive . You will feel great about it. Please say hi to me I'd love to meet you. I'll be doing a poster signing and free sticker giveaway. The holidays are now here, one week before Thanksgiving how exciting! The city of Burbank is known for staying true to "small town" it has a lot of small business and I just love that about the city of Burbank. 

Tonight they're going to block off the street of Magnolia Blvd. Santa will be there, vintage cars, winetasting, music, all kinds of fun stuff ! I will be there supporting many of my friends that own small business in the city of Burbank. Meet me there you know I'll be giving away stickers!

I am so confused about this image sombody sent me. Clearly this is my logo, and clearly it's in the upper left corner of a Tshirt. Everybody knows "DONT GET CAUGHT SLIPPIN" is always on the back of my tshirts. Many years ago I had a different Tshirt, this may be one of them, but off center logo? Is this guy shoulders off center? 

Either way, how cool to get sent so many pictures of clients & supporters wearing my tshirts all over town, from Riverside to San Bernardino,  to Ventura, to Los Angeles. This was taken in Highland Park .

Attorneys can make our lives a lot easier. I think the bad reputations attorneys have is a little unfair. I think personal injury attorneys are a large reason for that stereotype. At the end of the day it's all in what kind of feeling our intuition tells us. Your stomach is never wrong. I know I can tell a shady sneak a mile a way. 

I am grateful & fortunate that I have met &  have established excellent business relationships with some top notch attorneys. Attorneys I would trust with my own safety & freedom. However there are not many.

The attorney I favor may not suit the personal need of another, or one may prefer a male, one may prefer a female.

I do have a sense of loyalty to my attorneys & I can only hope they feel the same towards me.

With all that being said, there are times my client may have his own attorney and I must work with them. This is fine by me. I enjoy meeting people and I enjoy & love my career. 

Yesterday I met a very rude female attorney. I was & still am so very disappointed in any woman in business that cannot be a lady & be professional. 

I understand that attorneys have their own bail agents, just as I have my own attorneys. This is no reason to be rude. 

Also definitely no reason to give yourself the image of being an awful unprofessional person. People that are only polite selectively will never be a good person. 

As they say "common manners" are not so common.

BOND GIRL RAQUEL

The Olympics being in Russia so far have been super interesting ! I watched the opening ceremony and I've been watching all the winter sports competitions. 

Before I had my own bail bond agency I worked for many other bail agency's. I got fired from all of them. At the end of the day the last employer that fired me forced me to create & maintain my own business. I found this a blessing in disguise & I'm forever grateful for this experience. 

With that being said let me add, they were Russian. My Russian vocabulary was quite good! I learned a lot about their culture during the time I worked for them. I had already been aware of the many many contributions their country had given the world. My thoughts remember the Russian Ballet, poets, classical music... 

Very educated people, & here in America they stick together and have a specific community.

One thing I noticed was most of their food is served cold. My favorite dish was the soup called borscht ... Very delicious. 

They were thrilled to be in America, & they had no desire to go back to their mother country. 

I hope everybody enjoys the Olympics!

Being in fear of our law enforcement is a very eminent situation. "To protect & serve" isn't a reality most feel. Law enforcement are never held accountable for their actions. We must try and send a different message.  Going to this protest is important. This event is right by my office and the Hollywood police dept will surely be ready for this day.  Be safe & say hi if you see me!

QUEEN OF BAIL BONDS

This has been a great week of business & pleasure! Bail bonds can be extremely stressful, but when it isn't its just great! I had tshirts made this week & I honestly thought nobody would want them.. I got a great response. I will make a full order & put them at one location so anybody can go get one. RQOB tshirts are always free. 

I'm working on some sponsorships as well. As a business owner it's always the same... Any money I have to spare goes right back into the business. There's a lot to take into consideration with sponsorship. What kind of people, what venue, what capacity... Etc.

This week I also bailed out Soulja Boy. His crew have been clients of mine for a while, but this was his turn! It's always a different situation bailing out a celebrity.

Well the day has finally come! The ladies have been asking me to make a girls Tshirt for years. I've hemmed & hawed this whole time. 

I decided to make a limited edition trial run. I'll give them to my 12 closest girl friends and supporters. 

I hope everybody likes them and I will make more! 

It was so exciting to watch my printer do his magic !

I notice the climate of Los Angeles. Not the weather climate, the crime climate. Right now I can tell you for a fact people are on the low low. Nobody has a case of what I like to call...  "THE FUCK IT'S". When I see people on Facebook and Instagram at 7 am, & I know you don't do speed..,your ass stayed in last night. C'mon we all know cocaine of today is crap and you can sleep like a baby on that poison. 

The economy has a serious way of keeping people home, & out of trouble. Living high on the hog promotes a more carefree lifestyle.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE QUEEN OF BAIL

Happy new year everyone! I hope you all got thru the holiday safe and sound and hopefully without a horrible hangover that takes two days to feel back to normal. 

The crime rate in the country on this holiday has stayed the same and gone up in some parts.

For those of us that live a life of crime it's business as usual. 

For those of us that do not live a life of crime our only concerns are the occasional one too many cocktail, maybe some weed, at the very worst a traffic warrant. What's funny is both types of people go to jail just as often. I bail out the good the bad and the ugly! 

This year of 2014 doesn't have any new laws that effect us profoundly like the legalization of marijuana in Colorado. But I'm so positive that law enforcement will make huge strides in detecting if one is driving high. Stay ready !!!!! & don't get caught slippin! 

BOND GIRL RAQUEL

One thing I've always had to deal with is parents wanting to teach their kids a lesson. Parents ask me how long they can keep their child in custody before they go to county. I've had parents wait till the next morning to bail out their kids.  Parents will sometimes ask me to present the worst case scenario of jail, bail, courts, & all that goes with it to frighten the kid. I can do that, it's all true. I also get asked to point out that the "indemnitor" (meaning the responsible party) has the authority to revoke the bond at any time. That of course results in being put back into custody & needing to post bond all over again with a full premium charge. 

Typically I don't paint the worst picture to my clients. I do the polar opposite & I am here to help my clients ease thru a difficult time. 

When parents ask me to do this, it's like that old documentary "Tough Love".. I laugh all the way home. I hope it works & that kids never get into serious trouble, hurt themselves or anybody else. Don't get caught slippin!

What industry are you in? Is it entertainment, art, real estate, medical field? Is your industry as cut throat as mine? 

The competition amongst bail agencies is fierce. Nobody has anything good to say about a fellow bail agent. I learned this on my first day of training. Learning the industry from some of the best and original bail agents in the San Fernando Valley serving the greater Los Angeles area, was a blessing for me. However I heard the lack of respect right away. Women in bail?... They were all "whores".. No way could a woman be successful without spreading her legs right? This is why you will never see a bail agent having other bail agents as friends. Never! 

Do artists have other artists friends? Or lawyers have other lawyer friends?

With that being said, I'd like to say I may not have fellow bail agents as friends, but how many other industry's have clients call you during the holidays and thank you for their ability to spend time with their family? You see, if your bail is $30,000, without a bail agent, you'd have to pay the full 30K in cash. A bail agent makes it possible by putting up the 30k for you. 

It warms my heart to get calls from clients that think of me during the holidays. It makes my career that much better!!! THANK YOU !!!!
