This Labor Day weekend the Bond Girls and I are going to have a booth at the Ventura Nationals. 

One of the most exciting things to do at this event is the Wall of Death! I have never seen it in person, I've only heard about it. The Wall of Death is a vintage live action thrill show. The Moto Drome is a silo shaped wooden cylinder 30 feet in diameter where, inside, motorcycle daredevils travel along the vertical wall performing tricks and acrobatic riding! 

It has a super carnival feel to it. I am so excited to see this! Stop by the Queen of Bail booth and get some goodies! Meet your favorite Bond Girl, get on camera, and be a part of the Kustom Kulture of SoCal!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY from The QUEEN of BAIL

This weekend has been crazy busy! Typically weekends like New Year's Eve, Super Bowl Sunday, & Halloween, are the busiest times for me. This Valentine's Day weekend has been the busiest in years! I am open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, all cities and all jails! I feel very good about making some very stressed out people feel a lot better this weekend.  They are home to be with their wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and husbands, mothers and fathers. Enjoy this Valentine's Day and celebrate with love!

RAQUEL QUEEN OF BAIL BONDS

It's been a crazy weekend with a lot of Bail Bonds going on! I try to be of service to my clients and I always try to go the extra mile.

When dealing with county jail,  there's always complications and error. 

No matter what county, these huge jails do not run well...

I recently had a client that needed bail out of Riverside County detention Center. Basically Riverside County Jail completely lost my bond! They lost my actual physical bond! They completely lost it. 

I have to handle these situations very carefully.  I have to cooperate and get my client out of jail. 

This is extremely frustrating!  It makes me angry!  Although I must say throughout the years I have gotten much better at handling the situations. 

What gets me, is that unless my client has been to jail, or has bailed somebody out before, they have no idea what's going on. All they see is me not getting their loved one out of jail quickly. 

My client did get out of jail ..not as quickly as I would've liked him too, but he did get out ! He got to enjoy the rest of his holiday weekend. I hope my client understands that we're dealing with jail here. It is very unpredictable and they are not trying to help any of us. 

Always remember I am on call 24/7 ..never hesitate to call me if you need my help. I am here for you!

2015 QUEEN OF BAIL

Everyday that you're not in jail be grateful! Sometimes we think too much about yesterday. Today is where you are, and this means obviously you made it home safe, woke up safe. Yesterday is gone..,Today I'm going to take this opportunity to be grateful for my dear friends. I'm a lucky girl.

Bail bonds is a unique industry to be in. Throughout the years I've had many many complaints. I realize everybody has their complaints for their careers or their jobs ...I guess it's normal. Every once in a while you get that one person that makes you say wow. 

When I go through my files or I happen to scroll through my contact list in my phone, I realize the hundreds and hundreds of people that I've dealt with. Something may spark a memory about them or not, sometimes I delete their numbers sometimes I keep them. 

This morning I got a phone call from a name that I had kept in my contacts, but it only seemed vaguely familiar. 

After we spoke for a few minutes I remembered who he was ...a cat from Long Beach. He had just done about two years in prison & as soon as he got out he called me to make sure he didn't owe me any money. As honorable as he is of course so we're his friends, makes sense doesn't it. His friends honored our deal and paid me even though he went to prison & they covered the tab for him.  So for every complaint there is somebody that brings some hope to the industry some hope to human nature and I thought it was important for me to mention this person without disclosing his identity. I am grateful and thankful.

QUEEN OF BAIL & CBS CREW

I'm very grateful to have a super tight knit group of supporting women around me. One of these amazing women is my friend Kym from CBS crew. She is the best female graffiti artist in Los Angeles. She and I are working on a project thats going to inspire women, motivate women and represent women! These things take time and we're patient and diligent! 

Yesterday we met at RQOB headquarters

to get organized and ready for the next step. Of course we have our party time together as well. After all this is Hollywood!

QUEEN OF BAIL

RQOB has an amazing project in the works! It's been three years in the making. It's incredible how long these things take. Patience, perseverance, hard work, understanding & cooperation has been used to the limits from everybody involved. 

Without giving up too much info I must say I'm immensely grateful, & thankful for the opportunity & the experience. There are some really valuable people behind this project that continued to believe in me & my purpose in the community. 

Well wishes, positivity, & peoples continued interest in RQOB is what keeps me going. 

Thank you to everybody that came together this last week to participate in expediting this dream project! 

BOND GIRL RAQUEL

RQOB got a lot of bond calls this weekend, but not a lot of bonds. I have to be super careful & letting people owe me money is a horrible position to be in. 

So I had a lot  of fun instead of doing people favors. 

Saturday the Annenberg Space for photography had a fantastic show honoring Mark Seliger the Rolling Stones Photographer. The stage they built was incredible. They showed photos of so many artists he shot, from Nelson Mandela, to Keith Richards! They had photo booths for everybody, & great live bands. This was an awesome show. They gave away many cameras, their commitment to art & photography is immense. Thank you to the Annenberg!

This weekend was a big run to Palm Springs. No matter how cautious & careful people are, there is always one or two law enforcement agency's that will sniff out some fun & be determined to ruin it. 

Friday night my friend and I were at a super cool spot called "The Village" in Studio City having some wine & appetizers. The place is extremely loud!!! 

I got a bond call from somebody that I have bailed out before. I remembered that he paid me in full & went to all of his court dates.. (So far so good). As I'm accustomed to, the call came from someone upset & stressed. 

I got the person who was arrested name & date of birth. I was super impressed that they had his date of birth. People's names are common and or entered into the system incorrectly by human error. Now the client is in Palm Springs, & I'm in the SFV.. That's just fine. I never make my clients wait. I made the right phone call and had my client out by midnight. I never left the valley & continued to enjoy my evening with friends. 

Since this client comes from a family referral, we will square up when they get back. Now that's service, & that's how I keep my clients happy. I've always said, I do what other bail agency's do, I just do it better. Don't get caught slippin!

Today is May 1st!!! It's a great month because it starts off with a celebration! Food, drinks, culture & family are a big part of Cinco De Mayo. I hope to be busy this weekend with bail. There's also lots going on in Los Angeles. Be safe & Dont get caught slippin!!!

People ask what kind of people are my clients. This is a great question. 

The general assumption is that I deal with major criminals. 

The majority of my clients are from a different walk of life that's for sure! But criminals?, absolutely not. 

I have my gangsters & thugs no doubt, but their "careers" don't last long.

Here is a super funny demographic of Los Angeles. It says it all, & believe me when I say EVERYBODY is a potential candidate for bail. You never know when a friend may need your help. Stay ready & don't get caught slippin!

DONT GET CAUGHT SLIPPIN

Being in Los Angeles has an effect on people. We all run in the same circles. RQOB has always catered to the underground. The counter culture is the majority of my clientele. This was a major reason I got into bail bonds in the first place. It's awkward to say it's "fun"... Nobody in jail is having fun!!!!

But let's remember I LOVE my job! 

To me it is fun ! I love getting people out of jail! I love the stories & situations too! I love hearing them, talking about them, & being involved to the end. 

I must say thank you to my friend Tim Hendricks for only using RQOB for bail & giving me a shout out.

I first met him with Juan Puente, they had an extra ticket to SLAYER & I was there! I drove down to San Diego at the drop of a call. Honorable clients never have to get out of bed in the middle of the night with me in order to get someone out of jail. I make it easy!

Tim Hendricks got me over 75 new friends on Instagram almost instantly, & over 250 views on my blog with one shout out. I love having superstars as my clients!!! Thank you to Tim, & everybody who took the time to peep my blog!

DONT GET CAUGHT SLIPPIN

This morning is the same as any morning, I'm doing my social media, & drinking coffee. How much of my personal life I share on here is well thought out. I want to be honest, but I also need to protect myself.  My point is that we feel the same way at times. Frustrations, disappointments, are definitely part of any business. I know it's very real for employees as well. 

Today as you get up & go to work, a job you may not like.. Remember that we all have those days. Stay ready & don't get caught slippin!

Big crimes come with big bail. High number bail is not something that happens quickly. It's way more complicated. Collateral is mandatory. The amount if collateral must match the amount of the bail. 

Most bonds are between $10k and $50k

When the bail is higher than that, it's time to find out what your options are.  There is always more than one way to skin a cat. Call me, I will be more than happy to give you some options, some help & some resources.  I will help you get through it!

Women in business is one of my absolute favorite topics. As the years go by and my sponsorships grow, I get approached more. 

How people approach a business proposal can make or break the deal almost immediately. 

I'm thinking I should offer a free seminar for small business owners.  It would be my style to offer a seminar for women. 

There are women's organizations but I haven't found one I really feel comfortable with yet.
